Your Nails are Beddazled…. with rhinestones

August 25, 2011

I have a been a reeeeeally nice girl

the past few weeks by sticking to my shopping ban.

(except for a pair of shoes paid for by my mother and tons of pasalubong from my tita)

But I guess rules were made to be broken because

This afternoon, I found this perfect pale yellow green

nail polish I’ve been keeping an eye out for.

I’ve been looking for one

ever since I read a post by Jane Aldridge and she mentioned

using a pale green nail polish in that entry.

I just had to have one!

I seem to veer towards pale nail polish shades lately.

Anyway, I won’t keep on boring you with all my babbling.

Some people might think it looks like

phlegm but I like how something so plain can be eye catching.

It’s called “grass skirt”.

I am in love with the color.

Thumbs up to Bobbie for coming up with

great colors the past few months.

My only complain is the formula.

Please.improve.it.

I absolutely hate streaks on my nails.

This is usually caused by sheer nail polish and thin formula.

Unfortunately, Bobbie nail polish is both too sheer  and too thin. 😐

I had to put FIVE coats on my nails to make it look this opaque

and streak-free.

It’s a total b*tch letting it dry on it’s own

so I used Seche Vite top coat to speed up the drying time.

I felt like adding tons of rhinestones in the same color family.

tada!

It looks so crowded in my nails.

If those things could move they must be shoving each

other over the edges of my nails by now. :))

Overall, I love the color of Bobbie Grass Skirt

and I don’t mind paying a bit more compared to other local

nail polish because of the unique shade.

(it’s still dirt cheap anyway)

I just wish they’d reformulate their nail polish because

it’s a hassle to apply 5 coats every single time.

Any suggestions on what nail art

or shade of nail polish I should blog about next?

Every time I take out my nail art kit

I stare blankly at the nail stamps, beads, crackle nail polish,

pens and glitters because I can’t decide which one to use first. 😐

I’d really appreciate suggestions on what

particular nail art you want me to write about next. 🙂

drop me a comment if you have one! 😀

That’s it for today.

I promise that I am resuming my blogging duties

and I really will try to update everyday 😀

XOXO

Erika
